Spire Healthcare
Spire Healthcare is a leading independent healthcare group in the United Kingdom, with 39 hospitals and over 30 clinics, medical centres and consulting rooms across England, Wales and Scotland. It operates a network of private GPs and provides occupational health services to over 700 corporate clients.
Working in partnership with over 8,760 experienced consultants, Spire Healthcare delivered tailored, personalised care to approximately 926,500 inpatients, outpatients and day-case patients in 2022, and is the leading private provider, by volume, of knee and hip operations in the United Kingdom. The Group’s well-located and scalable hospitals have delivered successful and award-winning clinical outcomes, positioning the Group well with patients, consultants, the NHS, GPs and Private Medical Insurance (PMI) providers. 98% of Spire Healthcare’s inspected hospitals and clinics are rated ‘Good’, ‘Outstanding’ or the equivalent by health inspectors in England, Scotland and Wales.
1987
Established in 1987, Bury Physio have decades of clinical experience and expertise in UK healthcare and have worked with a wide range of corporates clients.
1989
Workplace Wellness was established in 1989 and specialises in understanding and assisting emotional and mental health in the workplace.
1998
Crystal Palace Physio Group is founded becoming an award-winning specialist physiotherapy service provider.
2003
Bury Physio is incorporated by RehabWorks which is a leading provider of physical and mental health programmes across the UK.
2010
Majority share of RehabWorks sold to Sovereign Capital.
2015
RehabWorks bought by ArchiMed Workplace Wellness acquired by RehabWorks. Acquired in 2015, this is an integral service that specialises in helping people deal with all kinds of issues.
2017
Crystal Palace Physio Group acquired by RehabWorks in 2017 providing a holistic approach that helps patients deal with physical and emotional concerns to ensure they live full and happy lives.
2019
Vita Health Group launched becoming a market-leading provider of mental and physical health services in the UK.
2023
Spire Healthcare Group plc, a leading independent healthcare group in the UK, acquires Vita Health Group Limited for a net cash consideration of c.£74m.
